“I can’t overstate the huge impact that Dr. O’Connor has had on my day-to-day life. She took the time to really understand the issues I was having (which were numerous) and created a comprehensive plan to solve them. Before getting treatment from her, my allergies made me feel lethargic, I had breathing and sinus issues almost daily, I wasn’t sleeping well, and it was seriously affecting my work and personal lives. Now I’m trouble-free even during the worst time of year, I have my energy back, and I’ve thrown away all the Sudafed, Claritin, and Benadryl I had to take just to get through the day or get a decent night’s sleep. I can’t recommend Dr. O’Connor and the staff at AAIR of Charlotte highly enough. “ —Armin G....

My daughter and I have seen Dr. Caicedo over the last four years in connection with my environmental allergies and allergy induced asthma and my daughter’s food allergies. I feel confident that Dr. Caicedo takes into consideration our unique situation in recommending a treatment plan and is experienced with dealing with our medical issues. She is open to answering questions and explaining the reasons behind the course of treatment she is recommending. She takes into consideration the challenges that parents face in dealing with kids with food allergies and draws from her own experience of being a mom in helping to determine what tests are necessary with my daughter in order to minimize the needle sticks needed to obtain the required information for determining her treatment/avoidance. —Jennifer L....

We are so happy to have found Dr. Caicedo! My son was suffering from terrible allergies and even though we were seeing an allergist, he was not getting much relief. All that changed when we met Dr. Caicedo. She was able to diagnose the cause and get my son on the road to recovery. Dr. Caicedo is very thorough and makes us feel like we are her only patient. She is patient with me and answers all my questions and concerns. The best part is, my son is no longer inhibited from playing outdoors during allergy season, something that used to lead to frequent allergy and asthmatic attacks. She has an extra three years of speciality training in allergy and immunology, something that very few “allergists” in Charlotte have completed, and that specialization makes all the difference. Thank you Dr. Caicedo for getting my son’s allergies under control, rather than allowing his allergies to control him! —Mary S....

Our son was diagnosed with a dangerous peanut allergy by another doctor. However, I was a little unsure about some of the numbers on the tests, so I sought out Doctor O’Connor for a second opinion. I am so glad that we did. When Dr. O’Connor reviewed the records, she agreed that the numbers didn’t seem to add up. She ordered her own set of tests, and upon review agreed that we should allow my son to participate in an oral challenge. We were so very happy to find out that he passed the oral challenge, and now we know that he can safely eat peanuts. How awful it would have been to have lived the rest of his life with a mistaken diagnosis! I am so glad that Dr. O’Connor was willing to give the oral challenge a shot! —Lesley...

I have seen many, many physicians but none like Dr. O’Connor. She is the most caring, genuine, kind- hearted physician that I’ve met. They don’t make them any better. She works very hard for her patients and actually listens to them. Her expertise in her field are impeccable. I wish everyone could have her as their doctor. —Lauren...
